Atkins Diet: Low Carb Breakfast – not necessarily like Mom made
I deal with the question by a viewer who like I was sick of eggs and bacon, and was looking for alternative breakfast items. My criteria for a good low carb breakfast is: * has to be quick to make * has to be easy to make * has to provide enough nutrition for morning activities and mid day exercise I also suggest the valuable step of prepping for breakfast the night or the week before by chopping the vegetables or cooking the meat beforehand to expand your options. With that in mind, there are countless options for the 5-minute or less breakfast meals. I highlight my favorite 5: * Taco or Fajita Salad * Low Carb Stir Fry * Sausage Broccoli Quiche * Upside Down Low Carb Pizza * Pancakes and Syrup
Atkins Diet Recipes: Low Carb Pancakes
Here is my breakfast Low Carb cooking video where I make my favorite low carb pancake recipe. This isn’t Induction friendly due to the Baking mix, but you could substitute some almond flour to make it Extended Induction legal. (There is an understanding by some Dr. A said they (nuts) could be added after 14 days.) Here’s the recipe: * 8oz pkg cream cheese * 3 eggs * 3 tsp Splenda or equivalent liquid Splenda * 1/4 cup Atkins Bake Mix *recipe below * 1/2 tsp baking powder * 1/2 tsp vanilla * 1/4 cup Heavy Cream or buttermilk Beat cream cheese with mixer until blended smooth. Add the remaining ingredients, and let sit for 5 minutes. Preheat non-stick pan to med/high heat. Spray pan with non stick spray and use 1/4 cup measure per pancake. Yield 10 pancakes. For Pancake Syrup, I recommend Da Vinci: www.amazon.com Nutrition Info: Total Calories 107, Fat: 10g, Carbs: 1.7g, Protein: 4g

LLVLC On YouTube: Low-Carb Sugar Alternatives (Episode 4)
Popular LivinLaVidaLowCarb.com blogger Jimmy Moore and his adorable wife Christine discuss the sweet stuff you can enjoy on the low-carb lifestyle. From Diet Rite soda to ChocoPerfection chocolate bars, these two take a hard look at the sugar alternatives and tell you which ones to gravitate to and even which ones to avoid at all costs. You’ll notice the video just kinda abruptly begins and ends…there’s a story behind that! Christine and Jimmy got carried away with the time that they went almost THIRTEEN minutes. Well, YouTube only allows 10-minute videos max, so Jimmy did some creative editing chopping off the front (where he was singing “Sugar, awww, honey honey” to Christine–CUTE!) and the back (where they gave praise for the members of the new LowCarbDiscussion.com forum Jimmy created). We’ll get ‘er done better next time!
